Raise your Voice is a 16 months programme, the main target will be women members of the community. Awareness raising to women will be inform of center based workshops in which women ( and refugee women) will receive awareness of their constitutional rights.
It is expected that target women after receiving the workshops, will cascade the topics and messages to their community members ( male and female). Thus, community awareness is increased on women rights, human rights, gender and thereby violence against women will decrease in the target communities, especially with the amount of refugee women with a very different back ground coming from their home country.
In light of the current context, the challenges facing women exist on social, economic, political, and institutional and cultural levels.
This programme addresses specific hurdles faced by women in order to encourage women's equal part participation in society based on citizenship rights.
